Welcome to Stage 2. In this first exercise we will learn how to slide on one string up and down the neck with jumps up to five frets. I am using an Electric Guitar with an Overdrive and delay. You can try it on the Acoustic Guitar, although it will sound completely different. Make sure you pick (dowstroke) each note before sliding. Key points:
- Be precise and reach the lending fret with Confidence and Accuracy.
- Muffle all the other strings that you don’t play and avoid unwanted buzzing.
- Use (or try) to apply a vibrato on each note, just to give a bit more emphasis and character to each note
- If you make a mistake, don’t stop. Keep playing the exercise to the end.
