The Classical Guitar Vibrato is a quite important Technique that will make each note you play sound more “Alive”. This technique is achieved by playing one note (doesn’t matter which fret) and than roll the finger back and forth on the string. Just like if you want to massage it. It is indeed a quite difficult technique to explain in words so let’s try with an easy exercise.
Key Points:
- Keep your right hand really relaxed. You don’t need to apply extra pressure!
- The movement must be smooth and regular. Don’t move to fast.
- Don’t over do it. In this exercise I am using the vibrato on each note to show you the technique. It sounds good because the phrase is quite short. If you have a longer melody use the vibrato wisely!!
