The Vibrato is probably the most used Guitar Technique. Lot’s of Guitar Players use it without even notice it. It is indeed a quite instinctual technique. The Vibrato is usually achieved by twisting the wrist rapidly while holding one note (or more). There are different kind of Vibrato.
- Classical Guitar Vibrato: This vibrato is usually really mild. It can be achieved by rolling the finger back and forth on the string. It’s almost like you are massaging the string …
- Acoustic/Electric Guitar Vibrato: This vibrato is achieved by slightly bending the string up and down without changing the note pitch.(micro-tonal banding).
- Tremolo Bar Vibrato: Use the Tremolo bar to change the tension of the strings. The wider you move the bar the more Vibrato you will achieve
