Busy Chord Progression … On Acoustic Guitar

Hey guys, I hope you are having a fantastic day.

In this fingerstyle lesson, I am going to show you how to play a busy chord progression on fingerpicking guitar. For me, a chord progression is busy when there are multiple musical elements combined, such as:

Chords
Melody
Rhythm
Percussion
Scales
Solos

All these elements combined feel a little overwhelming at first, so please, take things step-by-step and learn one section at a time.

I did my best not to add too much of everything 🙂

P.S: This lesson took four hours to record. There are days where your creative flow doesn’t want to cooperate. If you are having such a day, slow down and take a quick break. I went for a quick walk inside my garden and called a friend on the phone. When I went back recording, it was easier to see what I was doing wrong, and it only took 20 minutes. If I only took a quick break earlier hehe.

Hey guys, I hope you are well. In today’s lesson, I am going to show you how to play beautiful sentimental chords on guitar using fingerpicking technique.

As you probably know, I love experimenting with different chord progressions and keys. I am always surprised when I come up with a new way of playing a simple chord progression. Sometimes changing one note could open up new, exciting chords that you didn’t know about.

In this lesson, I want to share with you the three musical elements I love to combine the most: Chords, melodies, and scales.

There are so many different ways of writing and composing, and this is just one way. I hope you like it 🙂

Hey guys, another great day for me (it is always awesome when I work on a new lesson). How about you?

Today I am going to show you how to play this beautiful, yet straightforward chord progression in F# minor with chords played up and down the neck. The goal is to keep the left-hand simple (only fretting two strings) and benefit from combining open strings to chords.

This is the part.2 of the Just Beautiful Chords … (jaw-dropping) The video that I posted last week which you guys loved. The first video has already been watched over 100.000 times, so I thought I could do another video similar but in a different key.

This lesson shows you that you don’t have to play crazy, difficult chords to create beautiful sounding harmonies.

Hey guys, let me show you how to play this beautiful chord progression perfect for songs using a simple fingerpicking pattern on acoustic guitar.

I am going to show you different ways of playing the same chord progression so stick around to the end of the video.

The goal of this lesson is to learn how to come up with different guitar parts using the same chord progression so that you can diversify the structure of a song or exercise you are playing.

I am going to show you how to do that in E major key (one of my favorite keys on guitar), but it can be done on any key or chord progressions.

As always, take things step by step and learn one variation at a time before putting everything together.

Technique Lab Vol.2 | Travis Picking Technique | Module 5

Hey guys, another lesson is now available inside the Technique Lab program Vol.2 Travis Picking Technique.

In this lesson, I am going to show you how to combine chords and melody in G major key (one of my favorite when it comes to Travis picking).

There is one thing that makes this lesson slightly more challenging than any other lesson we covered in this volume an this is the different picking patterns you will learn on each chord. Don’t get me, wrong guys, I am not talking about a complete different picking pattern but much more of one/two different notes only.

This is a unique approach because rather than repeat the same picking pattern throughout the entire exercise, you are forced to make small changes as you learn a new chord.

Hey guys, welcome to another fingerpicking lesson 🙂 Today I am going to show you how to add beautiful musical ideas to a simple chord progression. This is one of the most requested topics, so I am super excited to walk you through this topic.

There are a few things we will be focusing on today:

We will be working on a beautiful chord progression in B minor key.
There are three different steps you must follow to learn how to add simple licks between chords. #1 step learn the beautiful chord progression, #2 add a simple lick to the chord, #3 make the licks cool.
There will also be an additional section, which I called B section, where I show you how to play a straightforward guitar part using the D major scale.

This is the perfect guitar lesson if you want to learn how to play simple licks between chords in a musical way.

Beautiful Spanish Chord Progression with Melody … For Beginners.

Hey guys, I hope you are having a fantastic day. Today I am going to show you how to play a beautiful Spanish chord progression combined with melody. The goal is to learn how to change between chords and melodies fluently.

Few important things about this exercise:

The chord progression is straightforward. However, you will have to learn the dreadful F major chord which will be played with a bar chord on fret I.
The fingerpicking pattern is in “three,” meaning we will be playing triplets. There are two different patterns to learn.
I wrote the simple melody using two different scales: The A minor scale and A harmonic minor scale.

Take things step-by-step and learn the fingerpicking pattern on one chord before moving on to the next -chord.

Dreamy Chords … Perfect for Songs (easy fingerpicking pattern)

Hey guys, let me show you these beautiful intermediate chords on acoustic guitar to practice over the weekend.

I am honestly having a ton of fun experimenting with different chord progressions in a different key, and this video wasn’t an exception.

There are two things you’ll have to consider when practicing and playing the chords in this lesson.

Mind the stretch. Sometimes, To create beautiful chords, we will have to play positions that can be a little bit stretchy at first. You will be able to stretch your fingers step by step. Be patient and focus on your goals.
Easy fingerpicking pattern. I decided to keep the fingerpicking pattern simple so that you can focus more on the chords. The pattern is the same throughout.

Learn one chord at a time if you have to and enjoy the lesson 🙂

Today we are checking out the Travis Picking module 5-6 where I am going to show you how to play fingerpicking patterns on two sets of strings as well as adding a chromatic/bluesy note to the chords.

Merle Travis was one of the most popular fingerpicking players ever existed, a Country music star that influenced thousands of guitar players all around the world. His technique was unique and challenging.

The Travis fingerpicking technique improves your ability to fingerpick while holding down the bass notes throughout your piece. Learning to bounce between the bass strings will also improve your timing and rhythm. There are a lot of musical genres in acoustic guitar music that use this technique. This skill will serve you well.

Just Beautiful Chords Only Possible in C Sharp Minor Key

Hey guys, today I want to show you few beautiful chords only possible in C sharp minor key. The chords I am about to show you are insanely simple to play but beautiful.

I was amazed I came up with such chord progression, to be honest. After so many years of playing guitar, I didn’t think I could still come up with this type of chords in C sharp minor key, which is a key I have been using a lot!

Playing guitar is fantastic because we can always come up with new ways of playing chords no matter how long you’ve been playing.

The concept behind this lesson was to create chords that share the same shape up and down the neck, and I think I came up with some pretty cool beautiful chords.
