Hey, guys let me show you a simple system that will help you create simple melodies on acoustic guitar.

So many of you still don’t quite understand how to write a melody on guitar, so I thought I would record a video where I show you the very first step to get started with composing.

In this fingerpicking lesson, I am going to show you how to write a melody using two simple chords: E minor and D major. We will start by learning the notes of the chord on the E string only so that we have a reference note for the beginning and end of the melody.

Then I am going to show you how to use the E minor scale to write melodic musical ideas.

As I mentioned, this is only the very first step guys.
