The Minuet in G major is one of the most famous piano compositions ever written. It’s a simple and beautiful composition that almost any musicians learn or teach.
This Minuet was written in the 17th Century. It was attributed to Johann Sebastian Bach, but it was composed by Christian Petzold.
One thing that I love about this classical composition is how modern it sounds. If you break down the chords, you end up with a Pop chord progression that can be used to write a thousand songs.
In this guitar lesson, I am going to show you how to play my version of the Minuet in G with the Capo on fret III. The song is in G major key, but it is played with the chord shapes we find in the key of E major.
I think the version in G major is overplayed, and there are a lot of tutorials available out there, so I thought I would try to give a different interpretation to the song.
Enjoy the lesson.
